True, this book isn't logical, but it's still a good read. I read it over my lunch hour at work and thoroughly enjoyed it.
A very hot and interesting read. Has everything a book needs romance, down moment before things get better, a good ending and steamy scenes that require one to have an imagination.
Nice short story. I found the female character slightly annoying though. Not a horrible book but I've read better books.
I thougth this was a fun story. Great writing. One of those stories that, as a reader, you WANT to be the heroine.
This book for me was OK. Literally, it's just OK. I could not get into the characters. There was a part of the novel (near the beginning) that was so unbelievable that it completely disconnected me from the novel. As a whole, it was very one dimensional and could not draw me into the novel. It may have to do with the shortness of the novel, but I have read other short stories from other authors and I have connected with them.
I would definitely check out her other novels before buying this one and I would think twice before buying it again (if I had too). I think that this author has better stories in "For A Price" or "Falling Star". The latter of which was not erotic (sexual tension/spark/thrill/etc) enough for my taste, but it was a great `independent Cinderella' read.
I know with romance novels there is supposed to be a fairytaleish sense of reality. This very short story was just to far out there in la la land for me. It is a contemporary story just not even remotely realistic. The hero for someone that is supposed to be an alpha male ends up seeming like a puss. It might come down to length because in the end I did not really feel a connection to either character.
Well... there is a lot missing! i love a good romance, even these cheap short ones - but this one takes the cake! It's the shortest and the cheapest. She supposedly hates cops, she's been surrounded by them all of her life and one sexy cop knocks on her door, and now her mind is completely changed - though she knows NOTHING about him except that he's a cop and he's good in bed.
It's straight sex, if the book was 50 pages only 2 of them actually have the kind of dialogue that forms plots and develops characters. This book isn't about character development, about people changing, or even attempting at something other than a couple having sex... and I could have goggled that porn for free if I wanted it.
